Payton Bartee

Assistant Director of Technology

Payton hails from all over the country, but considers Colorado and Texas home. He graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown with a BA in History, and later earned a MA in History from Arizona State University. Payton taught middle school and high school Social Studies in Texas for seven years, incorporating DBQ’s curriculum into his project-based learning units. He then transitioned onto the district’s instructional technology team, serving in that support role for three years. Payton joined the DBQ team in 2023.
