History/Social Sciences Invitational Workshop With The DBQ Project – Day Two

Fresno, California: December 7, 2018

The newly adopted California History-Social Science Framework (2016) calls attention to the importance of developing content knowledge and inquiry-driven approaches to learning, while also building literacy skills and preparing all students for engaged citizenship in the 21st century. This two-day training will provide history-social science teachers in grades 6-12 with instructional strategies, sample lessons, and practices to utilize the document based question approach to inspire great teaching and learning while meeting the goals of the new CA HSS Framework. DBQ Project Founder Chip Brady will provide practical, hands-on experience with materials and introduce participants to the DBQ materials specifically designed for history, civics, geography, and economics.

This is a two-day event. Day One was on 10/3.

The purchase of DBQ binders is encouraged but not required.
